Folder Guard for Windows 8/7/Vista/XP

Folder Guard is is a powerful computer security program that you can use to control access to files, folders, and other Windows resources, such as Control Panel, Start Menu, and so on. You can use Folder Guard to lock your personal files and folders with passwords, to stop other users from peeking into your records. You can even completely hide your private folders from virtually all applications, and such folders would remain invisible until you enter a valid password. You can also protect sensitive system files from modification or destruction, disable access to the removable drives, restrict access to Control Panel, and more.

TuneUp Utilities 2013

As is the case with any machine, computers require regular maintenance to keep them running their best. Tuneup Utilities 2013 is a suite of tools for fixing, tidying, and optimizing your computer. With a straightforward interface and plenty of options, it's worth checking out if you're not sure how to keep your machine in top condition.
Tuneup Utilities 2013 has a 1-Click Maintenance tool for users who want to get everything taken care of at once, as well as several other options that give you more control over what the program does. Tuneup Utilities started by performing an analysis of our system, looking at a variety of different performance metrics. It determined that we needed to clean our Registry, remove broken shortcuts, clean up Windows and programs, clean up our browser, and optimize system startup and shutdown; it also let us know that our Registry didn't need to be defragmented but that we should defragment our hard drive during our next maintenance session. Tuneup found quite a few problems on our computer and asserted that we had "high system interference." With the click of a button we were able to solve these problems, or so the program says; the only real evidence we had was that it told us that 867 Registry problems had been corrected, 58 broken shortcuts had been removed, 275 unneeded items had been deleted, and so on. We hadn't been having any significant performance problems to begin with, so it's hard to say whether Tuneup made a noticeable difference for us, but we can at least say that it didn't cause any problems. An addition to the 1- Click Maintenance tool, Tuneup Utilities also lets users create PC usage profiles to determine how best to optimize their systems, and a System Protection feature lets users undo changes made by the program -- always a good thing when you're mucking around in the Registry. Tuneup Utilities has a user-friendly interface and a thorough built-in Help file. Overall, we think that Tuneup Utilities 2013 is a good choice for novice and intermediate users who understand the importance of system maintenance but need some assistance in performing it. Free 18GB Dropbox account now Possible through refferals

If you sign up for a Dropbox account you are guaranteed 2GB of free storage for life. But there are several ways to increase that limit without paying any money for a Pro account upgrade. And now Dropbox has made it even easier to up your storage by revising the amount of bonus space you get for a referral.
In the past, coaxing your friends into joining Dropbox resulted in an additional 250MB of storage being added to your account. That has now doubled to give you 500MB for every successful referral. Dropbox promises to honor the bonus space offer for up to 32 referrals, meaning in theory you could earn yourself a free account with 18GB of space (2GB free and 16GB through referrals). That’s assuming you know 32 people willing to sign up to Dropbox.
The reward is even better if you already pay for a Pro account. Each referral earns you 1GB of extra space, meaning 32GB of extra storage is there for the taking on top of the 50GB or 100GB you already have.
Realistically, you may have a handful of people who will happily accept some free cloud storage. And with 500MB a pop, you’re still going to gain an extra gigabyte or two for yourself.
Depending on how real the GDrive are, Dropbox may have to react. If the GDrive comes with 5GB of free storage, Dropbox’s 2GB doesn’t look so great anymore. Would they match it?
